What I Design and Build

Small Business Websites

Marketing sites that say what you do, where you do it, and why someone should call. Every build is structured to be found on Google, and I offer SEO services for small business when you want to go after rankings seriously. You get a site you can edit yourself, in minutes, without calling me.

Website Redesigns

Most owners ask for website redesign services when they want one of three things: a site that looks current, a site that shows up on Google, or a site they can edit without a developer. Those are different problems with different price tags. If your site’s structure is sound, a redesign keeps the bones and replaces the design layer. If it’s built on an abandoned theme or impossible to edit, rebuilding costs less than renovating. I’ll tell you which one you’re looking at, in writing.

Landing Pages, UX and UI

Single pages built around one action for a campaign or an offer, plus UX and UI design grounded in how visitors actually use small business sites. Everything ships responsive and tested on phones first, because that’s where most of your visitors are, and website speed optimization is part of the build, not an upsell.

B2B and eCommerce Builds

Product catalogs, quote pipelines, and WooCommerce or Shopify stores for businesses that sell online. B2B web design services are a specialty: manufacturers, engineering firms, and contractors need spec sheets, project galleries, and lead capture more than they need flash, and that’s what I build.

What’s Included in Every Build

  • Custom design for small business websites, never a recycled template
  • WordPress, Avada, Divi, and Elementor development
  • WooCommerce and Shopify stores
  • Responsive, mobile-first layouts
  • On-page SEO built in from the start
  • Landing page design for campaigns and offers
  • API integrations and custom functionality
  • Training so you can update the site yourself
  • Fixed-price quotes: the number I give you is the number you pay

Questions I Get Asked

The question behind most of these: why hire a freelance web designer instead of an agency? At an agency, your project passes through a salesperson, a project manager, and whoever is free in development that week. With me, the person selling you the site is the person building it. Some businesses genuinely need an agency. For a small business website, you’re usually paying agency overhead for freelancer work.

Can I update my own website after it’s built?

Yes, and that’s a requirement, not an add-on. I build on WordPress with visual editing, so changing text, photos, hours, or prices is something you do yourself in minutes. Before launch I record a walkthrough of your specific site, and you keep it. If you’d rather never touch the site, my website maintenance plans cover updates for you.

How do I find the best web designer near me?

Ask three things: can you see live sites they built, not templates they customized; will the person you’re talking to do the actual work; and can they explain their last project in plain English? I’m based in Delaware County and work across the Philadelphia metro, so for local businesses I’m happy to meet in person and walk through the work.

Who’s the best web designer for a small business?

The one who’s built for businesses your size, and can prove it. A designer who mostly serves funded startups will over-build and over-charge you. My web design portfolio is contractors, schools, practices, and shops: businesses that need the site to generate calls, not impress investors. Judge any designer, including me, on whether their clients’ sites do that.

Do you only work with businesses near Philadelphia?

No. Most of my clients are in the Philadelphia metro because referrals cluster locally, and I keep a page for web design in Philadelphia, but I’ve built for businesses in other states and my process works remotely. Everyone gets the same developer, the same process, and a phone number that gets answered.

Ready to Talk About Your Website?

Tell me what the business needs and I’ll tell you whether a new site will actually get you there: a 30-minute call, no charge, and a fixed quote in plain English if we’re a fit. Ready to hire a web developer who picks up the phone?
